Security researchers found errors in software that were installed on several laptop brands or models. Researchers have said that keeping the record of all inputs given in the laptop keyboard and trackpad in the error of synergic software. Business Insider's report says that the 460 HP Laptop model's Synaptic software has this error.
This error is known as keylogger that tracks every keystroke (input on the keyboard) of the user. And this software has put the user in jeopardy because of recording sensitive information and passwords. But the hope is that this software on HP laptops is disabled by default. It's Enough
Administrator access is required. This means that physical access to hackers needs to be effective.
HP's help page says that on this issue, there is no access to synaptic software or HP to subscriber's information. It has also been said, all HP models do not have this error. The defective laptops are listed in which the error will be removed if they update.
HP says further, this problem is not just them. It will affect everyone using Synaptic touchpad drivers. However, Synaptic has not yet commented on this.
